We aim to teach physical activity and sport to improve physical and social skills, as well as leading to a healthy lifestyle. \u00a0We use sports to engage individuals, to develop understanding of societal norms, and to increase their ability to participate with their friends and classmates in a sport\/physical activity setting.<\/p>\n<p>We have a team of coaches who are passionate about sports and physical activity and want to share that passion with individuals who may not have had the same opportunities as we have. \u00a0We have experience with many different sports from when we were little kids all the way through college, and have knowledge and education directly related to the field of disability.\u00a0 Our mindset is to always make sure the people we work with are having fun, above all else.\u00a0 When people have fun doing something, they are going to want to do that activity into their future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Some specific things we will focus on are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Reaction Speed &amp; Coordination<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in fundamental sport movements<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility &amp; Strength<\/li>\n<li>Will practice <em>Executive Function Skills <\/em>\n<ul>\n<li>Skill set of goal setting to complete a task successfully<\/li>\n<li>Self-monitor time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Develop situational awareness communication and sports knowledge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6uCajpCgJuo&amp;feature=youtu.be Adapted Sports Development\u00a0is a service which provides a personalized physical activity program\u00a0for individuals with disabilities.\u00a0 We will assess, create, and implement a physical activity program in coordination with the family\u2019s preferences.
